Comedy Night for a Cause — A Night of Laughter, Community & Giving

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of comedy, culture, food, and community at Comedy Night for a Cause, a special fundraising event bringing together audiences for an evening of Urdu, Hindi, and English comedy while supporting an important cause. The event will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Zahid Nihari, 948 S. Barrington Road, Streamwood, Illinois. Dinner will be served during the event.

Featuring Tahaa Kahn

The evening will feature Tahaa Kahn, a New York-based Pakistani-American comedian and storyteller known for his deadpan delivery, sharp cultural observations, personal storytelling, and thought-provoking humor. His comedy draws from his experiences navigating different cultures, family, relationships, faith, and life between countries. Recent profiles describe his perspective as shaped by experiences in Pakistan, Turkey, Germany, and the United States.

Kahn is also an award-winning performer. His debut special Halalarious received the Evergreen Award, and he was named the 2021 “Funniest Comedian in Hospitality” at Gotham Comedy Club in New York. His latest comedy project, 72 Virgins, explores Pakistani roots, travel, family dynamics, cultural expectations, and the modern American experience through sharp, personal storytelling.

He has also appeared on WGN-TV, bringing his distinctive cross-cultural comedy to a wider Chicago audience.

Organized for a Meaningful Cause

The event is proudly organized by Faisal Malik and Afzal Sodagar in support of children with autism and disabilities. The fundraiser is being held in association with the Nawabshah Disability Forum (NDF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities and advancing disability rights, inclusion, education, rehabilitation, and empowerment.

NDF's broader work includes advocacy for disability rights as well as rehabilitation and support services for children with intellectual disabilities, including children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, dyslexia, and ADHD.

The organization's work has also included awareness programs, accessibility initiatives, humanitarian support, and assistance for people with disabilities. Its long-running advocacy work has included collaboration with renowned organizations.
